About the Brand
THATCH was born in 2014 with a simple idea — that jewelry should feel both luxurious and lived in, special without being precious, and beautiful without being out of reach.
Led by Amy Goin and Laura Laing — two creatives with a shared obsession for beauty and design. Amy brings a natural instinct for what women want to wear and how they want to feel. Laura brings a jeweler's hand and a designer's soul — trained in metalsmithing, with a deep love for form and function. Together, they’ve built a world you want to step into.
A space for play, creativity, and jewelry designed with intention. For the woman who lives somewhere between a beach day and a dinner reservation. Who collects things that mean something. Who wants to feel like herself, just a little more so.

In the Showroom
THATCH opened their first retail space on November 2nd 2023. This vibrant showroom embodies the spirit of the brand and its Southern Californian roots. Drawing inspiration from Californiaʼs natural beauty, the storeʼs interior seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with casual bohemian vibes. The sundrenched space is surrounded by the beauty of Liberty Station cypress trees, expansive lawns and the delicious foods from Liberty Public Market.

Laura Laing
Laura Laing is the design heart of THATCH. As co-founder and Head of Design, she brings a trained metalsmith's understanding of both form and function to the collections and creative foundation of the brand, pairing technical mastery with artistic vision. Her meticulous eye shapes everything she touches, from the jewelry itself to the packaging, displays, and every physical detail of the brand experience. Beyond the collections, Laura leads the studio with warmth, intention, and an unwavering devotion to the people and work behind the brand. In addition to the THATCH collection, she creates custom engagement, bridal, and heirloom fine jewelry for clients seeking something truly one of a kind. A devoted creative with a strong point of view, Laura brings thoughtfulness, intention, and a relentless attention to detail to everything she creates.
Amy Olson Goin
Amy Olson Goin is the driving vision behind THATCH. As co-founder and Creative Director, she shapes the voice and direction of the brand—from conceiving collections and styling photoshoots to building the wholesale relationships and brand partnerships that have made THATCH a name retailers and customers genuinely love and recognize. Her instinct for beauty, her deep belief in jewelry as personal expression, and her restless creative energy are woven into every corner of the brand. After a decade in New York City's fashion industry, Amy traded the city for California sunshine, channeling everything she learned into co-founding and growing THATCH into the brand it is today. Her entrepreneurial spirit, optimism, and Scorpio intuition continue to push us onward and upward.
Kristy Spicuzza
Kristy combines creativity and precision to bring the THATCH brand to life online. As our in-house photographer and e-commerce lead, she oversees the website experience and visual content, ensuring every interaction feels seamless, beautiful, and inspiring. From lifestyle photography and merchandising to website management and digital storytelling, her perspective and attention to detail are felt throughout every stage of the customer journey. With an effortlessly cool sense of style and a gifted eye behind the camera, Kristy has helped shape the visual language of THATCH, creating imagery that feels undeniably THATCH. When she's not behind the screen or the lens, she's usually somewhere beautiful with Maeby, her beloved blind dog and everyone's favorite studio companion.
Natalie Bay
Natalie brings a fresh perspective and creative vision to THATCH. With an intuitive sense of style and a deep understanding of what resonates, she helps shape how the brand connects with the world—from the stories we tell to the relationships we build. As Marketing and PR Manager, she leads influencer partnerships, social media strategy across Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok, and oversees paid social campaigns and performance marketing. Whether she’s collaborating with creators or dreaming up the next campaign, Natalie has a gift for translating the essence of THATCH into experiences that feel inspiring, relevant, and authentic. Her impeccable taste, sharp instincts, and tireless work ethic make her an invaluable part of the team. A lover of fashion, food, and culture, she's always in search of her next source of inspiration.
Anna Kadychkina
Anna brings creativity, expertise, and genuine care to the THATCH email experience. She helps bring our campaigns and customer journeys to life, combining a deep understanding of email marketing with a natural instinct for connecting with our community in a way that feels thoughtful and authentic. Adaptable, collaborative, and always game for a new idea, Anna is the kind of teammate every creative brand needs. She also has a gifted eye behind the camera, helping capture the imagery that brings THATCH to life. When she's not creating, she's often exploring the outdoors and finding inspiration in art and nature.
Presley Horton
Presley is the sharp, solutions-oriented mind helping keep THATCH running behind the scenes. Equal parts organizer, problem-solver, and creative collaborator, she brings clarity and structure to the many moving parts of a growing brand. From inventory planning and purchase orders to website updates, copywriting, and special projects, Presley handles it all with a speed and precision that never overlooks a detail. Her instinct for anticipating what's needed next keeps the team moving forward and turns even the most ambitious ideas into reality. She fuels her creative energy with rollerskating sessions and live music whenever she can.
Annie McGee
Annie brings warmth, style, and genuine enthusiasm to everything she does at THATCH. She plays an important role in supporting our wholesale community, helping retailers navigate everything from product selections and order support to market appointments and trade shows. With a natural gift for building relationships and making meaningful connections, Annie helps ensure our partners feel supported every step of the way. Her strong sense of style and eye for aesthetics shine through in the content she creates, which can be found throughout the THATCH website and social channels. A lover of travel, fashion, and new experiences, Annie is always collecting inspiration wherever she goes.
Jodie Talmadge
Jodie brings heart and intention to every corner of the THATCH studio. As our Fulfillment Manager, she ensures that every order that leaves our doors is handled with the kind of care that defines the brand. Her perfectionist nature and genuine warmth mean that no detail is ever too small—from the way a piece is wrapped to the note tucked inside, Jodie treats every order as if it matters deeply, because to her it truly does. An artist at heart who shows up every day with quiet dedication and a calm that puts everyone around her at ease, Jodie plays an essential role in creating the thoughtful experience our customers have come to expect. She recharges outdoors and brings that same grounded energy to the studio each day.
Julia Franco
With a naturally kind and approachable spirit, Julia brings a steady balance of professionalism and warmth to customer experience. She ensures every customer interaction reflects the thoughtful service and attention to detail that define the THATCH brand, helping customers feel valued and supported every step of the way. Whether she's answering questions, resolving issues, or celebrating meaningful moments with customers, Julia brings genuine care to every interaction. Her warmth, empathy, and calm presence help create the personal connection that keeps people coming back to THATCH. When she's not caring for customers, she's likely line dancing with friends and bringing that same joyful energy wherever she goes.
Taylor Andes-Raco
Taylor brings positivity, reliability, and attention to detail to everything she does at THATCH. From receiving new inventory and quality control to fulfillment support and studio organization, she helps ensure every piece meets the high standards our customers have come to expect. Thoughtful, hardworking, and always willing to lend a hand, Taylor brings a calm confidence to the team and makes every task a little easier for those around her. Originally from Kauai, she's a true island girl at heart who feels most at home by the ocean with her dachshund, Ellington.
